SCHOLARSHIPS
Overview
The Scottish Rite Scholarships are sponsored by the Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, and the Illinois Council of Deliberation.
There are four undergraduate scholarships, one graduate scholarship, and one which may be used for either graduate or undergraduate study. In addition, the Illinois Council of Deliberation administers a scholarship on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Illinois, A.F.& A.M.
Multiple awards are made for each scholarship, the exact number depending on available funding and the qualifications of the applicants.
In 2007, the nine Valleys in Illinois that comprise the Illinois Council of Deliberation awarded over $435,000.00 to 347 recipients. The amount of the awards ranged from $1,000.00 to $1,250.00.
